Every year, the students at Sagavoll Folkehøgskole make an artwork out of apples which is exhibited at the station building in the center of Gvarv.
The symbolism in the design of the board has often originated in the previous winners of the Golden Apple and what the winners stand for, or relationships linked to Telemark. Over the course of a few days in the autumn sun, the board changes color and those who regularly travel to Gvarv at the beginning of October can see the changes in the different shadings.
