SENIORS’ APPLE FESTIVAL – SING-ALONG WITH THE DEMENTIA CHOIR, Jorid Vale and Bruno Hageman
With Hilde Pedersen, Head of Culture in Midt-Telemark Municipality.

Friday, September 26
SCHOOL’S APPLE FESTIVAL – The Norwegian Apple Festival hands out an apple to each student. The Apple Song by Jon Solberg.
With Mayor Siri Blichfeldt Dyrland and cultural worker Jorid Vale.

11:00–15:00 – THE APPLE BOARD CREATED BY STUDENTS FROM SAGAVOLL
At the Railway Station Building in Gvarv. Everyone is welcome to watch the assembly.
EXHIBITION OPENING – THIS YEAR’S APPLE ARTIST: Anne Valen Næss
17:00 Opening of Galleri Nyhuus
Festival artist Anne Valen Næss presents the exhibition Ellevilt og Alvorlig.
Opening speech by Mayor Siri Blichfeldt Dyrland. Musical performance.

Music and poetry by Johannes Sundsvalen, Bruno Hageman and Ivar Solbu, beneath the altarpiece that inspired the Norwegian Apple Festival’s logo.
Organized by Sauherad and Nes sokn.
APPLE WALK
10:45 – From Nes Church
A cultural landscape walk starting at Nes Church, through fruit paths to Aslaksborg by Lake Norsjø, through orchards up to Galleri Nyhuus, over Tinghaug, down Erik Werenskiold’s Road to Gvarv town center.
Guide: Inger Lise Eriksrud Bergan with the dametrimmen, Sauherad idrettslag.
10:30, 12:30 and 13:30 – GUIDED TOUR OF TELEFRUKT FRUIT STORAGE
Registration from 09:30 at the faghjørnet on the marketplace in Gvarv town center.
11:00–16:00 – MARKET DAY IN GVARV
At the Station Area and Gamlegata
Fruit industry and nature-based businesses featuring local food and crafts.
Volunteer associations create life and activities in Gamlegata.
Food and seating at Kjernehustorget, Gvarv Bakery and with several exhibitors.
10:00–14:00 – OPEN FIRE STATION
Gvarv Fire Station is open to all who want to visit.

Apple cake/plum cake with cream and coffee for sale.
The venue will be filled with various activities: organ building, sing-alongs, stands, second-hand market, button making for children, etc.
13:00–14:30 and 15:00 – AUCTION
Proceeds go to the fight against polio worldwide. Organized by Bø Rotary.
Held at the Fruit Storage, Gvarvgata.
20:00–23:00 – JAZZ JAM AND CLOSING PARTY FOR EVERYONE AT KJERNEHUSET
