Paddling Shelter on Nomestranda

You'll find Nome's first paddling shelter on Nomestranda. This architect-designed shelter is part of the Padleled Vestfold and Telemark initiative and is completely free to use. Here you can spend the night, take a break for a refreshing swim or a snack before continuing your trip.

Padleled Vestfold and Telemark consists of 1,428 kilometres of paddling routes for all levels. In 2022, the paddling trail was expanded to include the Telemark coast and the historic Telemark Canal.

Organisation for Nature Experiences

Through detailed trip descriptions, maps, labelling and signage, Padleled Vestfold and Telemark makes it easy to find safe and exciting paddling routes. The aim of the project is to promote physical activity and inspire more people to discover the region's unique nature from the water.

Where is the Paddling Shelter Located?

Nomestranda, where the paddling shelter is located, is a bathing and free area between Ulefoss and Lunde. The area has a nice combination of beach and lawn, perfect for both swimming and camping. There is also access to toilets, a lifebuoy and a rubbish bin in the area.
