Environmentally Friendly Vacation
The municipalities of Nome and Midt-Telemark are in the process of being recognized as a Sustainable Destination, and we are proud to be part of this certification journey. Visit Bø AS and MTNU AS are collaborating to achieve this important goal, aiming for completion by 2024.
We are committed to reducing the negative impact of tourism on the environment, nature, and the local community. At the same time, we aim to enhance positive social and cultural values to provide an even better experience for both guests and residents.
Sustainable Development
The designation does not imply achieving 100% sustainability across all aspects immediately but signifies our commitment to a long-term journey toward greater sustainability. Our destination will undergo reevaluation every three years, during which we must demonstrate progress and ongoing enhancements.
