About the hike

Go on a captivating journey up Gamlestulfjell from Røysland, passing through Andersli and Kleivstul. For a scenic interlude, consider a detour leading to Ørnekollen, offering breathtaking views.

Continuing from Kleivstul, ascend towards the picturesque Trolltjern lake. At the watershed, a convenient detour leads to Elførnuten for those seeking an extra adventure. At the Pina junction, turn left towards Rypeskaret, where panoramic views of Gaustatoppen await. Follow the trail back down to Trolltjern, retracing your steps to the starting point.

How to get to Gamlestulfjell

To reach the trailhead, drive from the roundabout in Bø center, following Folkestadveien and later Reshjemveien towards Notodden for 11.6 km. Then, turn left towards Stokland.
