About the hike
Begin your hike from the parking lot and follow the tractor road as it winds through the forest terrain, leading you up to Kirsdalsatjønna. From there, join the trail that meanders over rocks and peaks, offering breathtaking views to the west towards Solbjørgvannet.
For an alternative route, opt to take the trail to the left at Kirsdalsatjønna, passing by Rennetjønn and Tveitvatna. Along this path, you'll be treated to stunning vistas of Gvarv and Norsjø before the trail loops back to Maskat.
How to get to Maskat
To reach the trailhead, head towards Hørte on national road 152 from the roundabout in Bø center, covering approximately 12 km. Turn right onto Roheimvegen and continue for about 4 km until you reach the parking lot at Svalbjørtjønna. An informative board awaits you at the trail's starting point.
