About the hike

Starting at Glenna, veer off the main road (look for a bicycle route sign at the junction, part of the "Langen" cycling route). Drive towards Kåsa and park your car at the barrier (bicycle route sign and sign indicating "Hauganveien"). Follow the gravel road, and soon you'll pass Grinitjørn on your right—a brief detour to the water's edge is worth it. You'll spot Heståsen in the southeast direction.

Continue along the road until you reach a trail ascending towards the ridge on the right side, marked by a small cairn at the beginning. The detour is approximately 100 meters before the houses at Glettungstå.

The entire route is marked with small cairns. Initially, you'll walk along a well-trodden trail. At the halfway point, the trail remains distinct, but the path becomes less clear. As you ascend the valley and reach the ridge, there's a less-defined path on the left-hand side, marked by a cairn. The trail follows the ridge southeastward.

At the viewpoint, you'll find a fire pit, and the southern view is spectacular. If you venture a bit closer to the edge, you'll feel the exhilarating rush.

The journey along the gravel road is 1.5 km and takes about 20 minutes. From the gravel road to the summit, it's 0.8 km, and the ascent takes around 15 minutes. The total round trip is 4.6 km, taking approximately 1 hour and 10 minutes.

An alternative starting point (or a circular route) is possible at the gravel road descending near Grinihagen. You'll see the houses at Glettungstå as you come down the hill. It's about 600 meters along the gravel road to the detour, located 100 meters past the houses.

The hike is suitable for children if caution is exercised at the summit. There is no mailbox at the top.
