Nomestranda
Swimming and recreational area situated between Ulefoss and Lunde offers a pleasant beach/lawn area with access to toilets, lifebuoys, and trash racks. Note: The beach may cause swimmer's itch due to a harmless parasite. Swimmers are advised to promptly dry off with a towel after leaving the water and, if possible, to shower soon thereafter.
Swimming Spots at Ulefoss
Norheimstjønna
Located between Lunde and Bø, Norheimstjønna features a pleasant bathing area with a beach and floating jetty. On-site facilities include toilets and litter bins.
Nomestranda
Nomestranda is a swimming and recreational area situated between Ulefoss and Lunde. It offers a nice beach/lawn with amenities such as toilets, a lifebuoy, and a litter bin.
Torsnes
Situated 1.6 km from Ulefoss town center, Torsnes offers a bathing area with a diving tower, along with on-site toilets and litter bins. Torsnes guest harbor is also nearby.
Ulefoss guest pier
Just 300 meters from Ulefoss town center, Ulefoss Guest Pier is an idyllic spot with its own beach and facilities including toilets and showers. Additionally, there's an outdoor café offering food and drinks.
Kalvodde recreational area
Situated midway between Ulefoss and Gvarv below RV 36, this location boasts a beautiful sandy beach, along with amenities such as a toilet (outhouse) and litter bin. Ideal for families with small children, the area offers excellent swimming opportunities. However, it's important to note that while there are several swimming spots onsite, they are generally better suited for older children and adults due to more challenging accessibility and shallow depth with pebbles.
Tvara
Located 4-5 km from Ulefoss guest pier, this popular small pond features a diving tower and is renowned for its favorable bathing temperatures. However, it's worth noting that it's not considered child-friendly.
