About Us and Contact

Bø and Lifjell Turridning AS was started by two friends, Ragnhild Rekanes and her friend, with a great passion for horses, people and mountains. After its launch in 2016, it proved to be a great success. Now Ragnhild drives a team of 20 horses to Lifjell every summer, and rides out on a varied selection of rides in July and August.

 Our history

"The dream of working with horses has always been there, but for various reasons we just didn't "dare" to go for it. We have also been in life situations where we have not had the time or After a cabin trip in late autumn 2015, we decided to try to carry out the dream, and already from 1st May 2016 we were officially up and running ."

 Today Ragnhild operates and owns the company alone. She is a committed person who has been very successful since the beginning. She is a self-proclaimed mountain goat and knows Lifjell extremely well. Together with a group of guides, she provides memorable experiences in the mountains.

Education:

Ragnhild is a trained professional chef and has completed numerous courses within this field. She has also worked as a chef in France. In addition, she has obtained general university admissions certification and completed 30 ECTS credits in both career guidance and educational counselling.

Ragnhild has always been a horse enthusiast and got her very first horse at the age of nine. Icelandic horses have been her great passion, and she has been involved in both breeding and competitions in this area for many years. She has attended an impressive number of riding courses, and her interest in learning more about horses and horse care has always been strong.
